Most adults normally only require moderate amounts of anesthetics to deal with any discomfort during most common dental procedures. Children or people with special needs may require a higher level of anesthesia.

The type of anesthesia depends more on individual patient preferences than specific dental procedures. At First Impressions Family Dental Care we have available Nitrous Oxide “Laughing Gas” for those patients who wish to have the added insurance of comfortable dental experience.
